TANJUNG SELOR – Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Kalimantan Utara Kalimantan Utara (Kaltara) melalui Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kaltara, melakukan inspeksi keselamatan atau ramp check terhadap speedboat menjelang Natal dan Tahun Baru (Nataru). Pelaksanaannya dilakukan bersama Unit Penyelenggara Pelabuhan (UPP) Kelas II Tanjung Selor dan Dishub Kabupaten Bulungan di Pelabuhan Kayan II Tanjung Selor, Rabu (14/12).
Plt Kadishub Kaltara, Andi Nasuha mengatakan menjelang Nataru 2022 ini speedboat reguler yg dioperasikan atau jumlah armada yang dikerahkan sebanyak 59 armada yang beroperasi di wilayah Kaltara. “Khusus untuk hari ini ramp check berkonsentrasi untuk rute Tanjung Selor- Tarakan dan Tanjung Selor – Bunyu,” ujarnya.
Terkait pemeriksaan ada dua jenis meliputi administrasi serta masalah kelayakan jalan, dan kondisi fisik serta ketersediaan peralatan keselamatan seperti alat pemadam api ringan (Apar), lifejacket dan P3K dan juga terkait alat – alat navigasi seperti GPS. Juga alat komunikasi dan radiokontrol,serta lampu – lampu, dan juga pengecekan kondisi mesin, pintu darurat hingga air conditioner (AC) dan toilet.
“Dilaksanakannya ramp check ini merupakan salah satu langkah mencegah kecelakaan dan juga sebagai langkah untuk memastikan keselamatan penumpang,” tegasnya.
Jumlah penumpang umumnya meningkat apalagi menjelang Nataru. “Karena itu kita pastikan semua angkutan penumpang dapat tersedia dan terakomodir dengan baik,” tambahnya.
Oleh sebab itu, Andi Nasuha juga mengingatkan kepada seluruh pihak untuk tetap menjaga protokol kesehatan didalam speedboat maupun di dermaga dan untuk tahun ini kemungkinan akan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan terkait tes narkoba bagi pengemudi (motoris) dengan mengambil sampel secara acak.
